Name: Magdalena Ada Abbey
Alias: Maggi
Group: Dreamer
Sex: Female
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Headcannon: I made/drew her
Appearance: Too lazy to re-size it so here's a link
Personality: Reserved and Quiet:: Maggi would much rather be left alone than talk to others, though she does try her hardest to be at least slightly decent to others. She has a small voice that is easy to ignore, and she does not mind that others sometimes forget that she is there.
Kind but Vengeful :: She would not be cruel unless it was revenge for something, and she would not hurt anyone on purpose unless they hurt her first.
Gentle but Stubborn :: Maggi is very cautious around others, and tries her hardest to remain gentle in order to keep the peace. She is afraid of others lashing out at her, and tries her hardest to prevent this from occurring. However, she can be very stubborn, and does not let others take advantage of her. She can be a bit bullheaded, even if she is generally a peaceful person.
Alert, yet Jumps to Conclusions :: Maggi is very aware of her surroundings, and she prides herself in her ability to notice things that some others do not. She is quick to spot details, however, she tends to leap to conclusions before looking further into a situation.
Sensitive and Easily Offended :: An insult that would hardly bother one person could deeply wound Maggi. She is very receptive to insults and cruel words, and takes ‘jokes’ to heart in a bad way.
Likes: Food, music(both listening to it and creating it), dissolving into the background(metaphorically), foxes, pink, small groups of people
Dislikes: Sour candy, critics, being put in the spotlight, fish, water, green and orange, large crowds, families(her own and other people’s), country music, sea food
Fears: Her father, water, becoming old and useless, having close relationships, being blamed for things she didn’t do, large groups of people
History: WARNING. This history could be triggering to some.
Maggi was born in a rather stereotypical Midwestern home, or at least that was what it seemed to be to all that were outside the family. She was raised by her father and mother, and often played with her older sister, Emma, and their pet dog, named Gertrude. The family seemed perfect to most, and few saw the panic that ensued in the home. Maggi’s father was prone to attacking his family out of rage. He usually went after Maggi’s mother, and rarely hurt either of his daughters. Maggi’s mother was afraid of him, but accepted his apologies after he hurt her. The quiet woman usually kept to herself anyways, and she struggled to hide the bruises. Maggi’s sister understood what was happening, but would never tell a soul. On the rare occasions that Maggi’s father would lash out at his daughters, Emma would protect her. Because of this, Maggi never had to feel her father’s anger, but she did hear it. She found it difficult to not resent her father for this, but she would never tell anyone. She was too afraid.
One day, after school, Maggi was walking home with her sister. School had always been rather easy for Maggi, but she knew that her sister struggled with the lessons. When they reached the door, they knew something was different. Emma pushed Maggi behind her protectively as they entered the light colored house. The first thing Maggi saw was the bloody dog lying on the floor, her father looming over the dead Gertrude. Emma gasped, and the man turned, tears in his eyes. He could not even get a word out when Emma screamed at Maggi to run. And run she did. The girl ran and ran until she reached the lake that was close to her neighborhood. The water was murky and she could see weeds floating across the surface. The drainage lake had never been well maintained, so it usually looked like this. Maggi spotted the lake before she got to the edge of the water, but it was too late by then. The ground was slippery, and the girl slid on the wet grasses and mud right into the water. The cold knocked the wind out of her, and when she gasped for air she only breathed in water. She tried to open her eyes, but the dirty water clouded her vision. Everything went dark, and before she knew it she was lying in a pure white room.
Some say that hospital rooms are loud, but Maggi’s wasn’t. The silence pounded in her ears. The beeping of the machines were nothing but background noise, the rushing beyond her tightly closed door did not break the silence. It was so quiet because the only person that sat in her room was her mother. Maggi never knew for sure where her sister went, and she had no idea that she would never see her again. She was later told that her sister had sustained injuries from the incident, and was in another room. The young girl never cared where her father was. She was told that everything would be better from then on. The men and women that came into her room, their lab coats white and spotless, pleaded and begged her to talk to them about her experiences, but Maggi refused. She refused to say anything at all. Eventually, it was decided that she would be put under dream therapy in order to asses her mental state.
