Alias: Varsha, Cat/Katt, Jai
Group: Dreamer (possible Bringer in the future? Subject to change based on IC experiences)
Personality: Varsha is a bit of an interesting one. She spends 90% of her time as a black cat, so few know what she looks like as a person. She is a Dreamer like everyone else, but she has just the barest memories of her life before the Dream Therapy; She's not sure about these memories, or if they are even memories at all- So she's teetering close to the edge of being a partial Bringer, and not. She likes to watch the church-like communion of the Bringers and listen to their theories. However, she's become so used to the dreamworld she finds it all to be poppycock and hogwash, except a tiny inkling in the back of her head that thinks it might be true. She spends a lot of time weaving around through throngs of legs of people who stayed human, often eavesdropping and telling her friends of the latest news in town. She can communicate with anyone while still being a cat, luckily. She enjoys the thrill of the hunt, chasing after Dream-animals that conjure up as she desires them. For some reason she has this constant, gnawing hunger; It's dull, and is briefly eliminated by eating, but it always comes back, sometimes stronger than before.
+SAFETY OF CLOSE FRIENDS
+REALLY HOT OR REALLY COLD THINGS
+BEING LEFT IN THE DARK
+DYING OF HER CONSTANT HUNGER (it isn't that bad, though)
+BEING KILLED BY A CLOSE FRIEND
+DROWNING/BURNING TO DEATH
Varsha was born outside of Dream Therapy to a mother that loved her very much. Her father wasn't present for whatever reason- he disappeared one day and nobody, not even the government, really know where he went. She was raised under the careful eye of her older brother, Maxwell. When she was a child, she always showed a fascination with animals- particularly, cats. Whenever someone asked, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" she'd always respond, "I wanna be a kitty."
As she grew older, this habit faded off, but she retained her love for cats. She got one cat she found on the street, abandoned by its mother and mangled by the weather and passersby. She hand-fed this kitten, nursed it back to health- she got a job at 15 years old so she could pay for the medicine the kitten was taking. It grew up strong and healthy and happy.
However, one day the cat died in a bad accident; The house caught fire and burned down to mere ashes. The cat managed to save Varsha and her family by chasing them out- he appeared aggressive, but he had smelled the smoke and taken action. He burned alive, and a corpse was never found. This depressed Varsha greatly; She loved that little cat, and now he was dead, because he saved her.
After a few months of dealing with that kind of guilt, her mother finally decided to try the Dream Therapy. It worked incredibly well, but eventually Varsha became... Well, addicted to it. In the Dream Therapy she could finally be whoever and whatever she wanted; She controlled the dreams, lucidly, she was awake. It was wonderful, and she couldn't get enough.
Then the Plague hit. Her doctor was killed of it while treating her with Dream Therapy. Everyone fled the building when they discovered he had it. Luckily Varsha didn't get the terrible plague, but she was left under Dream Therapy, and nobody was there to get her out of it.
She doesn't remember her past, except in tiny glimpses when she falls asleep and "double dreams" one might say.
