Hello, and welcome to Lucid Lullabies! Now, it's recommended that you read this before you join(or right after!), as there are... certain things you may miss if you don't. Also, rules are subject to change as time goes on, so make sure to check them every now and then! Now, let's begin!
GENERAL
1. Be respectful. Now, I'm not going to go into detail here, as this is a simple rule to follow. Be nice, and you won't get into trouble.
2. Keep swearing to a minimum. I don't mind an occasional "damn" or "shit", however if I find that these types of words are used too frequently then you will be given a warning.
3. DO NOT use offensive language. Examples are the N-word and "faggot". You will be automatically banned if I see you use these words. If you see someone using this language, contact me or a staff member immediately.
4. One account per person. This means that you may not create an account for each character. It's a lot more neat and organized to have one account to keep all of your characters on. This being said, make sure that your display name is what you want people to refer to you as.
5. You must at least be 13 years or older to join. This rule speaks for itself. I don't care if your birthday is tomorrow, you have to be at least 13 to join.
6. Keep avatars and signatures appropriate. No pornography or gory pictures. They will be removed if you use either of these as an avatar/signature.
7. Keep signatures small. If it stretches the board or simply takes up a lot of room, it will be resized.
Character Creation
1. For right now, you may have a maximum of 3 characters. This will be subject to change in the future.
2. No Gary/Mary-Sues. This is a character that has little or no flaws. Nobody is perfect, and this includes you characters. If I see that your character is lacking(or has too many) flaws, then they will not be accepted until they are changed.
3. Any type of sexuality is allowed.
4. Your characters may not have children.
Roleplaying
1. No Powerplaying/Godmodding. You may not control other people's characters or kill/harm them without their permission. If you find that someone has hurt or even killed your character without your permission, politely let them know and ask for them to edit their post.
2. If your character is having a nightmare that can potentially kill, put "[deadly]" or something similar to that in the thread title so that people know that their character may get hurt.
3. Your character's appearance may be anything. However, they may not be extremely large or tiny.
4. Since dreams are random in nature, anything can happen. However, try to keep these things as relevant as possible. Examples:
Wrong: Emily giggled at Tyler. She had to admit, the guy was funny. Cows ran by. "So, how's the weather?"
Correct: "Wow, those cows sure are slow," Tyler commented. Emily giggled at him, admitting to herself that he was rather funny. "Yeah, they are," she replied.
5. Do not create R-Rated threads. If you really want to roleplay smut, do it via PM. Also, don't be overly-gory with your posts. A simple description of what's happening will be good enough without going too far into detail.
6. Now, there isn't a specific word count, however it is common courtesy to try and match the word count as whoever you're roleplaying with.
Now, if you want to join, shoot me or a staff member a PM with the message "I have completely read the rules" so your first application will be accepted.
